Finland is known as one of the countries with advanced technology and high internet connectivity. Cooperation with Finland can provide benefits in digital infrastructure development, knowledge exchange, and the implementation of the latest technology.

The Minister of Communication and Informatics, Budi Arie Setiadi, received a visit from the Minister of Economic Cooperation of Finland, Wille Rydman, at the Ministry of Communication and Informatics office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (30/01/2024). As quoted from the press release of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemkominfo), Minister Budi Arie stated that Indonesia and Finland discussed cooperation regarding digital infrastructure.

"Considering the strengths and growth potential in both countries, I believe we can promote knowledge exchange, capacity building, research and development, and share best practices, especially in digital infrastructure," he expressed.

According to the Minister of Communication and Informatics, Indonesia has become one of the global leaders in utilizing information and communication technology to drive economic growth and development.

"Our country has been at the forefront of digital transformation in various sectors, and our commitment to promoting digital innovation has created significant collaboration potential," he said.

Minister Budi Arie stated that with economic growth and a diverse population, Indonesia is striving to achieve the Vision of Indonesia Emas 2045, becoming the fifth strongest economy in the world.

"We recently launched the Digital Indonesia 2045 Vision as an effort to support the realization of the Vision of Indonesia Emas 2045," he revealed.

Minister of Communication and Informatics also appreciated Finland, known for its technological advancement and innovation, as well as its robust technology infrastructure, which has long been a global leader in the ICT sector.

In the meeting, Minister Budi Arie Setiadi was accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, Mira Tayyiba, the Director-General of Post and Informatics Organization, Wayan Toni Supriyanto, and the Director-General of Information Technology Applications, Semuel A. Pangerapan. Meanwhile, Minister of Economic Cooperation of Finland, Wille Rydman, was accompanied by the Ambassador of Finland to Indonesia, Pekka Kaihilahti.
